Leasing a Cadillac Lyriq SUV in the UK

The Stellantis team are now busy making some of the leading EVs in the various brands they own and operate – Citroen, Fiat, Jeep, Peugeot and Vauxhall for example. The American powerhouse and iconic group, Cadillac, are now adding to this line-up as they join the UK’s leasing market in 2025. Launching with a luxury SUV, the Lyriq, the team are testing the British waters having enjoyed success in countries like Germany, France and Switzerland. But can this aesthetically pleasing option garner success for this car maker?

Described as “Innovative Luxury Vehicles” by the brand, the General Motors team are launching an SUV with technology and equipment that sets the standard for the competition. With the Lyriq competing against the Audi Q6, BMW iX, Mercedes EQE and EQS plus the Lotus Eletre, refinement is absolutely essential. Although details remain basic at present, the Lyric is likely to launch in two specifications including:

•  Luxury – priced at around £75,000 this model includes a 33” curved diagonal advanced LED display, 21” multi-spoke aluminium alloys,  AKG audio with 19 speakers (including front head-row speakers), wireless charging, 5 USB ports, heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, massage seats, memory seats, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, 3-zone climate control, HD surround vision, adaptive cruise control, enhanced parking assist, front/rear park assist, HD rear vision camera, rear camera mirror, super cruise, lane keep assist and lane departure warning; and
•  Sport– the same price (£75,000) this has slightly different features like sport AWD functionality, triangular pattern in the shield texture, lower fascia grille and headlamp sound, 21” satin dark android finish and vader chrome.

Key colours include Argent Silver, Opulent Blue, Stellar Black, Crystal White and Radiant Red. Inside you can choose between Noir, Sky Cool Grey, Juniper and Oxford Stone. Additional options include the panoramic sunroof, towing package and black painted roof.

In terms of dimensions, the car is just over 5m long, 2.2m wide and 1.6m height. The EV has a turning circle of 12.1m. For more information head to the Cadillac manufacturer website.

How does this Cadillac perform?

There will be 1 battery configuration:

•  Lyriq 600 - This will have a 102 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 5.3 seconds, 130mph top speeds and 388kW (or 528hp). Expect a combined winter range of 245 miles with warmer weather allowing for 325 miles - a combined 290 miles. On charging, the 22kW AC max will allow 5 hours and 30 mins 0 – 100% charging times with the 190 kW DC maximum allowing 27 minute 10 – 80% times. A cargo volume of 793L is available with this car.This EV will not have Bidirectional charging. The car will be able to tow 750kg (Unbraked) and 1500kg (Braked). The heat pump is an additional option with this SUV.
