Volvo Lease Deals UK

The world’s safest car company, Volvo, are producing electric cars too. While operated separately to their sister-brand Polestar, the Swedish manufacturer is also heading into the luxury electric vehicle segment with rigour and enthusiasm. Indeed, the group were quick to transfer their leading vehicles over to Plug-In Hybrid technology compared to the competitors like Audi, BMW and Mercedes, while being clear that fossil-fuel combustion engines will no longer be manufactured after 2025. Volvo will go completely green by 2030, fitting nicely into the UK Government’s ambitions. Volvo electric are not only some the safest EV’s to lease, they also produce some of the best-looking SUVs in the UK.

How expensive is a Volvo to lease

While the brand will be totally electric across the range, with saloons / estates to follow, the SUV and Sportback are going to be the foremost options, with the XC40 ReCharge currently available to order and the C40 to follow very shortly. Priced between £40,000 - £55,000, the Volvo is not aimed at being the most-affordable vehicle. This is very much a company car option or for customers with budgets of £400 per month and upwards. However, for those company car users enjoying the low BiK that Volvo offers, this may not be quite as expensive as you would think, when you consider the amazing tax savings for both the driver and employer.

Why choose to lease a Volvo

Running a Volvo EV is not something which should concern our personal or business customers. The 75 kWh lithium battery technology delivers combined ranges of around 210 miles (on a full charge) and 11 kW AC / 150 kW DC charging capabilities via the Type 2 and CCS charge ports. Drivers shouldn’t be wasting time waiting for their new Volvo to fully-charge with the AC charging capable of 0-100% in just over 8 hours and a 30-minute rapid charge time. Using our Zap Map app, it’s so easy to find your local charging solution on the UK’s public roads. There are more than enough charge points available for you or your drivers.

With e-car lease, making sure your Volvo is the perfect solution is key to our team. The process is so simple, and quick, that you could be driving your new car in just over 2 weeks having never left the comfort of your home or office. And unlike a dealership, there’s no lengthy business manager negotiations, as our website provides almost instant quotations for you.

You can quite easily compare the various specifications, while using practical filters for budget, range, contract length and mileage. As we offer any make or model of new car, you can also use our website to compare different manufacturers to ensure that the brand meets your needs and requirements.

Is a Volvo lease right for me

For those customers leasing an electric car for the first time, or who are in the process of converting their fleet, where our website is different to our competitors is that we go into detail about the EV lifestyle and the costs associated with your new car. For example, this includes the range, charging capability, charge port and full charging analysis. But for the fleet managers and finance directors we can also provide you with the whole of life, company car tax and salary sacrifice calculations. Why go to other websites when all of the key information for making the decision to go electric is available in one place.

Frequently asked questions
See our guides See our guides
Is Volvo a good car to lease?
As one of the safest and most practical prestige car manufacturers in the UK, Volvo have made the transition to electric cars. While closely-aligned to Polestar, the current options from the Swedish car maker are very much based on SUV / Sportback vehicles – the XC40 Recharge and the C40 Recharge. The Volvo promises an all-round EV experience to our personal contract hire and business contract hire customers.

Is a Volvo lease right for me?
Leasing a Volvo EV is the practical route for most customers. With technology and battery options changing so frequently, the ability to change a car every 2-4 years suits so many of us. And the tax benefits to both the company and the drivers are making this such a logical decision. With an EV you also benefit from whole of life cost savings, a better driving experience and the knowledge that you are contributing to a greener world. However, this is not to say that a zero-emission Volvo is perfect for all of us. Use our Lythium EV tools to ensure this suitable for your needs and requirements.

Where do I find Volvo lease deals in the UK?
Our industry leading EV website, e-car lease, is the perfect starting point for leasing customers to do their research. Unlike many other leasing and price comparison websites, we only display zero-emission cars, so you can compare the right deals and offers. We don’t dilute the offering with combustion or hybrid vehicles. When you order with our expert team you can be assured that you will get the help and guidance you need. There really isn’t a Volvo query we cannot resolve.

What is the Cheapest Electric Volvo?
The Volvo will not be the cheapest car to lease, with these vehicles being priced around £47,000 - £60,000, specification dependent. These are EVs which are designed for individual customers with a higher budget or for the company car market, where the considerable tax savings negates the additional monthly payments. In terms of specification, avoid the Twin Plus or Twin Pro option if you are on a stricter budget.

What is the range of an electric Volvo
Expect the 67 kWh 170 kW lithium-ion battery in the XC40 to deliver a winter driving range of 165 miles and 200 miles in summer. The newer C40, with its 75 kWh battery, will increase this range to 190 miles and 235 miles respectively. When reviewing the range of the new Volvo, make sure you consider the impact of the temperature, driving style and behaviours. Plus, you do need recognise that this presumes a 100% charge, which is actually rare when you operate an electric vehicle. But don’t be concerned with the range alone; it is also important to appreciate the charging capability of the Volvo too. For example, the 150 kW DC charging speed on the C40 allows for 30-minute 10-80 % charging capacity.
