The year 2026 will see the UK target for pure electric vehicles change from 26% to 33% further to the Government’s ZEV Mandate . While there is some stern debate on the efficacy and affordability of this political direction, the reality is that a robust percentage of cars, and vans, will have to be some form of battery electric by 2030 / 2035.

What that means is that all manufacturers looking to sell their vehicles in the UK’s new car market will have to adhere to these requirements in full, or in part. Failing to do so will lead to some form of financial penalty, with rumours of £15,000 per non-compliant registration being applied.
However, the consequences and failure of meeting the ZEV Mandate have not been well publicised by any manufacturer yet, so this does make us question to what extent this is being applied. If we are to get manufacturing investment into the UK, cars / vans / batteries, our attitudes towards businesses need to be somewhat harmonious to retain their support.
Homegrown manufacturing of both the cars and the lithium batteries helps improve the lead times and turnaround of the vehicles which brokers like e-car lease supply.

So before we touch on the Enyaq EV, the question of WHEN should I order my lease car (personal or business) is a relevant one to answer. To answer this briefly, as a customer you need to begin with the understanding of when exactly you need a vehicle; are you replacing an existing lease? do you have a PCP or HP coming to an end?
Are you without a car and need one urgently? One of the first questions any leasing broker will ask you, or the business, is when do you need a car for? This isn’t a sales ploy or an unnecessary question, as we really need to know that any potential deals we offer can be delivered within your time frames. As per below:

With the Skoda Enyaq, there are often a great mix of stock deals (like our Sport line one) - as well as allocation and factory order ones too. The new vRS model is undoubtedly a vehicle where performance meets bold design, with Skoda creating their most powerful EV to date.

With smart technology and enhanced features, there is very little extra you could need from an EV. The car comes standard with 20” alloys, vRS interior, dynamic chassis control, remote park assist, aluminium pedals, floor mats, auto-dimming mirror, heated front seats, LED ambient lighting, sports seats, 3-zone climate control, wireless charging, 13” display.
HUD, navigation, Canton sound system, heated and folding door mirrors with memory function, LED matrix lights, privacy glass, sports bumpers, tow bar preparation, area view camera, electrically operated boot lid, keyless entry and stop/start, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats and shock absorption.
With the vehicle being somewhat fully-loaded there isn’t much else to add to it. Choose from colours like the Hyper Green, Moon White, Race Blue, Smokey Silver, Velvet Red and Olive Green. In terms of key additional upgrades, consider the 21” alloys, winter package (for heated windscreen and heated rear seats), heat pump and the panoramic roof. You can also add an electrically retractable towbar.

In terms of the car shown, the SKODA ENYAQ ESTATE 250kW vRS 84kWh 4x4 5dr Auto Pure Electric Car, this is based on the following configuration:
