The latest in 7-seater family EVs has now been confirmed by the Skoda group, further to their world launch on 23 June 2026 and the official release for sale in September 2026.
Essentially bringing the popular Kodiaq functionality to life in a battery format, the Skoda team will complete on their array of SUVs and 4x4s with the latest announcement. With the Epiq (city-car SUV), Elroq (small SUV) and the Enyaq (medium SUV) already launched and on sale, this will be a final addition to what is a complete product suite.

Of course, the Skoda EV product remains to be one of the UK’s most popular brands, with company car schemes, salary sacrifice arrangements and retail consumers still motivated to move into this offering. Part of this is because of the VWFS underpinning and economies of scale which are making for great batteries and a reliable product.
However, the Škoda touch, which is anything other than its historic frugal and humble appearance, is still hitting the right buttons for many drivers. It’s actually difficult to critique the team for the options they are creating.
Outside the control of every manufacturer is the environment of the UK in terms of regulation, policies, infrastructure and media support (or not). These all control the impetus of the customer in making the decisions to go into a new or used EV.

While 2026 has been overwhelmingly positive, the environment is still volatile. So, when you see updates like the recent post from GB News , which suggests that the Labour Government are not helping those motorists into an EV, where they do not have off-road charging, there is a sense of trepidation still.
The article discusses comments from the Chief Executive of Believ, whereby he mentions the difficulties surrounding VAT on public charging, which is much higher than the costs for home charging.
Going further, he suggests that a half-way house would be more fair, in order to balance the costs of charging between those charging at home and those charging in the public network. For clarity, the VAT on your home / domestic charging is just 5% whereas in the public domain this is 20%.

When looking at the statistics from our charging partners – Zapmap – you can see that the public infrastructure is continuing to grow at a very commendable rate. In their monthly review of how many chargers there are in the UK , you will see some great stats for June 2026 including:
The real cost, and investment, is that of the quicker solutions. While the conjecture often laments the UK charging network, it does need to be recognised that the time and cost for companies to put together these solutions is not minimal.

Since EVs are improving their DC / rapid charging capability, at a rate beyond what we thought was conceivable, the network is now trying to ensure it has a viable solution to support these vehicles. While the BYD “flash-charging” was a great illustration of what can be possible, the network will take some time to make this a reality.
As our vehicle comparison guide for rapid charging shows there are now nearly 40 vehicle / battery options which can charge at 350kW DC or higher! So while charging is very much accessible in most parts of the UK, the quality of the experience will vary.
The new Skoda Peaq SUV 7-seater will arrive at a time when the UK’s charge point situation is better than ever. A flagship family vehicle for Skoda, this is planning to offer long-distance comfort, luxury, technology and practicality for UK leasing customers. The model will launch with 3 key options including:

Key colours include the Meteor Grey, Race Blue, Graphite Grey, Smokey Silver, Moon White, Black Magic and Olive Green. Some of the key options include the simply clever package (for holding tablets and devices), the panoramic glass sunroof, heat pump and the electrically retractable towbar. Build and configure the perfect Peaq via the Skoda brand website.
At the time of launch you can choose between 2 key battery options including:
