The continued conflict in Iran is still having a big impact on EVs, with many news and media outlets reporting on the Chinese push to electrify the world (like this article from the BBC  and the cost of oil pushing more customers into electric solutions (as reported in the Telegraph ).

The EV uptake in the UK automotive industry is a mixture of push and pull factors, with financial incentives, zero-emission charging zones, company car tax and leasing prices all encouraging more UK drivers to think carefully. No longer is it being viewed as an expense or luxury; customers are realising that this offers a more practical and cost-effective solution. In many cases, especially low-mileage lease customers, they can save hundreds of pounds on fuel costs. In today’s world, that represents a good saving.

We at e-car lease have really felt this with our used electric leasing programme, which we deliver via our CarLease UK partners , whereby more personal and retail customers are enquiring with us.   • Maintenance included – all of our used EVs include servicing, maintenance, tyres and breakdown recovery. With the exception of the windscreen cover (which your motor insurance can assist with) and motor insurance, the rental includes everything. For an EV which is outside of the warranty, this is the ultimate piece of mind. This means there are no unexpected costs or dangers with the ex-lease car;
  •  Cost – many of the EVs are 2 – 4 years old, with low mileage (sub 40,000 miles), and represent a huge cost-saving compared with the new version. For first time electric leasing customers, this provides a more cost-effective way to test the vehicle and the finance product yet still enjoy a robust and technologically proficient vehicle; and

  • Flexibility – shorter terms of 12 and 18 months are available. When you compare these to car rental and flexi-lease, the cost of a 12 month used EV lease is significantly better and more affordable.
