Leasing an Audi Q6 e-tron Estate Electric in the UK

“All roads lead here” is the tagline for the latest electric innovation from the German car manufacturer – the Audi Q6 e-tron estate. SUVs and crossovers are the backbone of the UK’s automotive infrastructure and there seems to be no different approach when it comes to all-electric platforms.

Both personal and business leasing customers seem to be very much in love with the concept; manufacturers are at least listening and reacting with the corresponding product.

Having been launched in late-2023 at the Munich Motor Show, the Audi brand confirmed this week (March 2024) that this new EV is coming to the UK market and customers can now place orders. The Q6 will be a bigger alternative to the existing Q4 Estate and Sportback, which has been incredibly popular in 2023 and into 2024.

But where the brand is very excited, is the synergy with Porsche, who have co-engineered a Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which is being used on the upcoming Porsche Macan too. A dedicated chassis and battery infrastructure is key to any EV and in adding this architecture, you have some amazing 800V charging technology and sophisticated technological driver assistants.

One of the first things you notice about the Q6 is the “softwrap” interior, which is an around view digital screen for the driver and passenger to utilise. Infotainment and vehicle / driver connectivity are present with this new luxury option. But EV specific elements like remote preconditioning and Hey Audi are also available Not to mention a whole host of luxury elements like heated twin leather seats, electric lumbar support, heated steering wheel and heated rear seats. Sound and Vision comes as standard, with the augmented HUD, Bang & Olufsen sound system, dynamic interaction light and headrest speaker. See for yourself on this £69,700 Audi e-e-tron model.

And the addition of the SQ6 performance option, which is available from £93,675 - is another great initiative. To meet the demand of those customers potentially buying or leasing a Macan Turbo, Audi are instead offering the SQ6 where design is in the DNA.

From the Striking 4-eye light design, Matrix headlights, 21” alloys, aerodynamic designs to the sculpted full paint finish bumpers and privacy glass, this model promises to be one of the most exciting BEVs on the UK roads. Luxury is also standard with the fine nappa leather seats, memory massage seats, dynamic light interaction, the 14.5” Audi MMI with the 10.9” passenger display, augmented reality, keyless entry and park assist plus.

But how does the standard Q6 EV perform?

This AWD SUV will have a 94.9 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 5.9 seconds, 130 mph top speeds and 285kW (or 382hp). Expect a combined winter range of 240 miles with warmer weather allowing for 320 miles – a 285 mile combined.

On charging, the 11 kW AC max will allow 10 hour and 15 min 0 – 100% charging times with the 270 kW DC maximum allowing 21 minute 10 – 80% times. A cargo volume of 526L is available with this car. It has a vehicle fuel equivalent of 122 mpg. You can tow with this EV – 750kg (Unbraked) and 2400kg (Braked). It also has no V2L or V2G capabilities (so far). The Heat Pump is standard.

But how does the performance SQ6 EV perform?

This AWD SUV will have a 94.9 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 4.3 seconds, 143 mph top speeds and 380kW (or 510hp). Expect a combined winter range of 235 miles with warmer weather allowing for 315 miles – a 275 mile combined.

How much is an Audi Q6 e-tron Electric to lease?
With a basic model just under £70,000 (and the performance at £94,000) expect leasing deals to be around £700 - £1300 per month - mileage, term and initial rental / deposit dependent. While likely to be a cheaper Macan EV alternative, this is still a luxury car. But amazing value for any limited companies or salary sacrifice customers looking to enjoy considerable tax savings

Is an Audi Q6 e-tron Electric a good car to lease?
The new EV from the German engineers is receiving some favourable reviews from the UK’s automotive media and publications. The suitably roomy interior, impressive ride, sharp torque vectoring, easy-to use menus and expedient charging systems are noted. A great option against the BMW iX and Mercedes EQE SUV too.

Is an Audi Q6 e-tron Electric lease right for me or the business?
The style and performance are almost certainly on point. But are you or the company ready to go into electric driving and technology? While tax efficiency and green motoring is clearly on the UK’s agenda, ensuring the product is suitable for the needs and requirements of the customer are still key. Unlike many dealerships and leasing brokers, our website is fully resourced of EV information with the EVC™  and “living with your” guides available to answer the key questions like charging speeds, time, costs and range. And much more.

Where do I find the best Audi Q6 e-tron Electric lease deals in the UK?
We do encourage our customers to visit our best electric car deals section but you are welcome to go to our price comparison partners like CarWow, Leasing.Com and LeaseLoco. For a more dedicated experience visit your local Audi retailer to get a PCP or HP quotation. We understand the purchase v lease conundrum.

What is the cheapest Audi Q6 e-tron Electric leasing option?
At the time of writing (March 2024) the Q6 E-tron Estate 285kW Quattro 100kWh Sport 5dr Auto. Upgrade to the 360kW SQ6 Quattro 100kWh Launch Edition 5dr Auto for complete luxury.

What is the range of an Audi Q6 e-tron Electric?
At e-car lease we do not utilise the WLTP range of an EV, as this can be very misleading and can lead to poor vehicle choices. Many of the range metrics under WLTP are based on standardised laboratory testing which has little to no application in the real world. For a standard Q6 EV expect (on a full charge) 205 miles on a motorway in colder weather, with this increasing to 285 miles for urban and city driving. In warmer weather, this increases to 255 miles on a motorway and 410 miles in city driving.

Can you tow with an Audi Q6 e-tron Electric
Yes – you can tow with this SUV

What is the towing capacity of the Audi Q6 e-tron Electric?
