Lease a Bentley Torcal Electric in the UK

The name Bentley carries a significant amount of weight in the UK's automotive industry. Based in Crewe (UK), but owned by the Volkswagen group, the Bentley Motors brand has been the aspirational car of choice for generations.

In the last few years, the Bentley team have focused on combustion vehicles like the SUV Bentayga and the Continental GT, plus the Flying Spur, so the prospect of all-electric technology seemed to be somewhat unlikely. However in 2025, the rumours of a 4x4 EV from the Bentley teamed proved to be correct and in September 2026 the team formally launched their Torcal range.

When you consider the VW Group also own Porsche, it is not wholly surprising that the Bentley team utilised the Premium Platform Electric which is featured in the also new Cayenne Electric. The UK's car market is very much luxury 4x4 and SUV focused, even more so in the luxury and prestige car category. With brands like Ferrari, Land Rover and Porsche now heavily invested in cementing their legacies for electrification in this segment, it is warming to see the British icon bring their fantastic product to the market also.

The battery vehicle market provides a great opportunity for brands to bring new ideas and concepts, especially when they carry nostalgia and heritage.

The Torcal will have some key elements like the fully active hydraulic suspension and rear-axle steering for the utmost comfort. The same can be said with the 100% Merino wool and rectangular headlights, along with the diamond pattern taillights.

More modern concepts and specification will feature like the central OLED screen (not unlike the Cayenne EV), the 16-way power adjustable front seats with heating / ventilation and massage facility plus the 28 speaker Naim Audio sound system and the dimmable panoramic sunroof.

You only have to review the Bentley website, to understand the new focus of the group which is now creating a new era and direction, with technology and road presence. Some of the key highlights are the 76 hand-applied LED diamonds, ergonomic curved screens, suede-like Dinamica, Bentley Dynamic Symphony and bespoke accessories like the Carbon Fibre Styling or Paint Protection Film. A "new world of automotive craft" is being engineered by the Bentley Torcal team.

As at October 2026, the new Bentley EV will launch in two specification options, with an additional special edition option too:

  •  Torcal - this represents the essence of the range, with a balance of exhilarating performance and the progressive life-enhancing luxury delivered via craftmanship and technology. A cabin crafted like no other is guaranteed;
  •  Torcal S - the most powerful production Bentley ever. Its twin performance-tuned electric motors deliver a phenomenal amount of power and torque, where incredible power meets unprecedented refinement;
  •  First Edition - this includes the exclusive 22” First Edition wheels which are finished in black with spokes painted in Liquid Silver, complete with grey-painted brake callipers. All four wheels include self-levelling centre badges, First Edition badging, First Edition treadplates, carbon fibre veneers and seat quilt pattern.

Key colours include the Precious Metal, Desert Oasis, Purple Shade, Onyx Black, Storm Grey, Meteor Blue, Orange Flame, Dragon Red II, Glacier White and the White Sand. A host of 21” – 22” alloys in various colours can be chosen.

The interior colour split can be 50/50, single tone or M1 by Mulliner and you then select your colour like Beluga, Teal, Terra, Saddle and Hotspur. Other options include the Touring Assist (for hands-free driving / cruise control), coloured brake callipers, Dynamic Light Projection, privacy glass, hands-free tailgate, Naim for Bentley sound system and the deep pile rugs.

The Bentley team are also pushing digital ownership, with onboard WI-FI allowing for constant internet connection. This means that not only can phones and other devices connect to the internet but the driver can access connected services and over-the-air navigation system updates.

Some of other key tech features include the plug and charge features, park assist function, predictive parking and the My Bentley app for remotely accessing and controlling the vehicle.

You can configure your perfect option on the Bentley manufacturer website.

How does the new Bentley Torcal perform?
