Lease a BMW i3 (Neue Klasse) EV in UK

While the UK was considered to be a “Chinese-only” electric car market for 2026, there are a number of key brands dispelling this myth. The German powerhouse BMW, who have an enviably reputation for quality, comfort and pragmatism, are one such carmaker who are pushing their products to the top of many company car and salary sacrifice lists.

Further to their incredibly successful iX3 Neue Klasse SUV, which is available in a 40 and 50 format, the team announced that from June 2026 UK customers can enjoy their new saloon model – the BMW i3.

Effectively a replacement for the 3 series saloon, which has been such an integral vehicle in the UK, the move to a saloon is an interesting move for a market so concerned with 4x4 and crossovers. While the i4 Gran Coupe has been a solid part of the UK BEV market, the i3 will utilise the next level of battery and vehicle tech which has made the iX3 so popular. There is no similarity to the previous permutation of i3 before you ask!

The i3 promises to offer more than just electric completeness – “feel the heartbeat of a new era”. With sports saloon driving dynamics, this is a car heavily focused on driver experience and behaviour. The illuminated BMW iconic Glow Kidney will also feature along with the M-inspired sportiness. Other key comfort and tech features will include the heated multifunctional seats, optional panoramic glass roof, BMW Panoramic Vision, HUD and Harman Kardon sound system.

Key exterior colours include the M Le Castellet Blue, Alpine White, Black Sapphire and Brooklyn Grey. Inside choose between contemporary digital white bicolour, black bicolour or the Agave Green. Inside you can choose from the Contemporary White, Black, Castanea, Agave and BMW Individual design.

At present (June 2026) the 50 xDrive will launch, with further key models to follow in Autumn 2026. The standard specification on the First Edition includes sun protection glass, attention assistant, cruise control, park distance control, rear view camera, 3D HUD, BMW Panoramic Vision, electrically adjustable/heated/folding door mirrors, Harman Kardon sound, illuminated door handles, M Sport exterior parts, LED lights, heated steering wheel, wireless charging tray, BMW Iconic Glow pack, 8-way electrically adjustable seats with massage function, comfort access and bidirectional charging.

On charging, the 11kW AC max will allow 11 hour and 45 min 0 – 100% charging times with the 400 kW DC maximum allowing 21 minute 10 – 80% times. A cargo volume of 420L is available with this car. While the newest BMW EV is set to offer the longest range of EVs in the UK, with over 400 miles of range on a full charge, we do implore that all of our amazing customers use the tools we offer to make their decision.  Contract hire and leasing is  a longer term finance product of 2 – 4 years, based on the annual mileage, with no ability to return without paying an Early Termination figure (ET). This is why we offer the best service we can.

The key document, our EVC™ (Electric Vehicle Certificate), is integrated into the quotation and order process for free. This sets out key aspects like the real-world range, charging speeds, charging times, cost per mile and company car tax.

To make the green journey even easier, you can use the EVC™ to access our partners like ZapmapPersonal, business and salary sacrifice customers will find this of importance.

Do also review our Trustpilot to see what the electric customers, existing and new, think about the e-car team too. For more help on the electric transition, just get in touch with our team on 01942 910 001 or by emailing us at [email protected]
