Leasing the new ATTO 3 Evo SUV in the UK

One of the “in” brands for 2025 was the Chinese brand – BYD – with their ambient mix of pure electric and hybrid / plug-in hybrid options. Finishing 2025 with over 50,000 registrations and becoming the 6th best-selling car brand in the UK, BYD have managed to become one of the foremost battery-focused brands in 2025.

The group have essentially become the manufacturer which Tesla was in 2020; pushing boundaries, growing a dealer network and maintaining a firm but focused marketing strategy has allowed BYD to become an electric car superpower.

Not unlike Tesla, the BYD team are constantly improving and evolving the product suite for UK customers. From March 2026, the BYD ATTO 3 will be revised bringing this more in-line with the stiff competition which exists in the UK leasing market.

From its launch in 2023, the ATTO 3 provided BYD with a smaller SUV which was focused on technology, quality and a cost-effective family motoring solution. However, for 2026, the new EVO will add the next generation of technology via the e-Platform 3.0.

The ATTO 3 EVO also promises UK customers with a “see the future” experience with key updates like the wider beamed headlights, dynamic steering, vegan leather sports seats, wireless smartphone charging, electrically adjustable and heated seats, multi-coloured ambient lighting, panoramic glass sunroof, generous passenger space and the award-winning (and ultra-safe) Blade Battery. This means the mass-produced 8-in-1 electric powertrain and high-efficiency heat pump in all vehicles.

So what options are there on the BYD ATTO 3 EVO?

As at Feb 2026 choose between:

•  Design – from £40,000 this includes key options like the 8.8” instrument panel for the driver, 15.6” infotainment touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, front/rear parking sensors, 360 degree surround view camera, V2L, heat pump, 18” alloys, electrically adjustable and heated seats, adaptive cruise control, front and rear cross traffic alert, hill assist and descent control, traffic sign recognition, navigation, PM2.5 air filter, Apple Car Play plus the ambient cabin lighting; and   

•  Excellence –  from £42,000 this adds HUD, heated rear seats and the panoramic glass sunroof with sunshade. 

Both options arrive with V2L function (Bidirectional charging), 2 smart keys (and 1 BYD digital key) for keyless entry, the heat pump and the 11kW AC onboard charger.

Key colours include the iris blue, obsidian black, time grey, ruby red and skiing white. Interior choices include the grey or beige.

How does the new ATTO 3 EVO perform?

At launch, 2 battery options are available:

•  Design – this RWD SUV will have a 74.8 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 5.5 seconds, 112 mph top speeds and 230kW (or 308hp). Expect a cold weather range of around 215 miles with warmer weather allowing for 295 miles – a combined range of around 255 miles on a full charge. On charging, the 11kW AC max will allow 8 hours 0 – 100% charging times with the 220kW DC maximum allowing 25 minute 10 – 80% times. This has a fuel equivalent of 138 mpg. A cargo volume of 490L is available with this car. The car can tow 750kg (Unbraked) and 1500kg (Braked). This will have Bidirectional charging capabilities via the V2L (3.3kW AC from the exterior outlet). The heat pump is available and standard on the vehicle; and 

•  Excellence – this RWD SUV will have a 74.8 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 3.9 seconds, 124 mph top speeds and 330kW (or 443hp). Expect a cold weather range of around 210 miles with warmer weather allowing for 285 miles – a combined range of around 250 miles on a full charge. On charging, the 11kW AC max will allow 8 hours 0 – 100% charging times with the 220kW DC maximum allowing 25 minute 10 – 80% times. This has a fuel equivalent of 135 mpg. A cargo volume of 490L is available with this car. The car can tow 750kg (Unbraked) and 1500kg (Braked). This will have Bidirectional charging capabilities via the V2L (3.3kW AC from the exterior outlet). The heat pump is available and standard on the vehicle.

As a 2nd generation EV, the ATTO 3 EVO is aiming to be the small family SUV of choice. Great range, quick charging and an enviable host of specification, the BYD team have managed to create an amazing BEV to lease.
