Leasing a DS N°4 E-Tense in the UK

The Stellantis team are currently one of the UK’s biggest producers of electric cars. While the Chinese “invasion” via the likes of BYD, MG, Omada and Chery have been hitting the headlines during 2024 and 2025, the Stellantis group which owns the likes of Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall and DS have been quietly amassing a product line-up to make them one of the most envied brands in the world.

With factory production within the UK itself, the various brands have been enjoying the additional incentive of the Electric Car Grant to support new products, like the luxury-premium DS No.4 EV.

A re-model of the DS4 Crossover, which launched in 2021, the new all-electric DS4 is a more substantial hatchback for the UK’s personal and business leasing market to enjoy. Sitting above the DS3 but below the No.8, the new option will be deliverable from around October 2025. For those customers currently considering the likes of the Vauxhall Astra, Peugeot 408 or the Citroen C4, the new DS will be a more luxury option to test-drive.

The DS Group state that they are bringing a contemporary icon to the market which offers refinement, aesthetic excellence and French finish. With a whole host of technological features – DS IRIS system, Extended HUD, Matrix LED Vision, ADML Proximity and DS AIR – this isn’t just about comfort.

This is aiming to be a true competitor to more luxury brands like Audi, Mercedes and BMW. Driver experience is supported by the Connect Plus Pack which is free for 3 years and which offers connected navigation, Iris natural speech recognition, connected alarm, e-remote control and e-charging solutions. Making a car and phone symbiotic with the driver is now the new focus for many car makers.

There will be 3 key specifications being made available to the UK including:

  • Pallas – from £36,995  this includes 19” Lausanne alloys, LED ambient lighting, frameless Electrochrome interior mirrors, 3D rear lamps, LED headlamps, emergency braking, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise, front/rear parking, reversing camera, electrically heated and foldable door mirrors, bi-zone air conditioning, keyless start and the10” HD Touchsreen,
  • Pallas+ - from £39,160 this adds the DS Iris System, ADML Proximity and 19” Saporro alloys
  • Etoile - from £41,860 this includes front door sills, front/rear floor mats, dark tinted windows, DS Matrix LED lights, Extended HUD, DS Iris System, 19” Lima alloys

Key colours include  Pearl White, Crystal Pearl, Perla Nera Black, Night Flight and Cashmere. Upgrade your Pallas DS4 with the Perla Nera Black Roof and 19” Zurich alloys.

You can upgrade your electric DS4 Etoile with the 19” Minneapolis alloys, opening sunroof, foldable towbar, motorised tailgate, Nappa Leather or the Perla Nera Black Roof. Create a bespoke option on the  DS  Website.

In terms of battery options, there is one choice which is:

  • 61kWh - this FWD hatch will have a 58.3kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 7.1 seconds, 99 mph top speeds and 157kW (or 211hp). Expect a combined winter range of 195 miles with warmer weather allowing for 270 miles – a 230 mile combined. On charging, the 11 kW AC max will allow 6 hour and 15 min 0 – 100% charging times with the 120 kW DC maximum allowing 37 minute 10 – 80% times. A cargo volume of 390L is available with this car. It has a vehicle fuel equivalent of 160 mpg. You can tow with this EV. It also has no V2L or V2G capabilities (so far). The heat pump is standard.

The latest DS number 4 is very much a driver focused and aesthetically-pleasing option for your new car list. However, because contract hire is a fixed term agreement of 2-4 years, we do encourage all of our customers to consider their potential purchase in detail.

While going green is often a pleasant experience there are a few key aspects to consider as part of the transition. All of this is highlighted in our “living with your ...” tools and EVC™ certificates. We explain and discuss elements like real-world range, charging times (AC and DC), charging costs, charge solutions, performance, charging tariffs, motor insurance and bidirectional charging (V2L and V2G). And this is a free resource.
