Leasing a Kia EV4 SUV in the UK

For a brand that is enjoying some serious awards for its recently launched EV3, including the Car of the Year from Autotrader, Best Small Electric SUV by WhatCar? and World Car of the Year, there is certainly no resting on its laurels as it brings another SUV to the market – the EV4. The “symbol of innovation” - the latest product will launch in hatchback form in July 2025, with a new fastback model to follow in December 2025.

Shaped by ambition, the new Kia will feature modern striking lines, clear proportions, the distinctive EV Tiger Face and the vertically oriented headlamps. Flush door handles, dynamic profiles and positive structure ensures that this EV is delivering reduced drag coefficient and improved aerodynamics. A spacious interior will feature ambient lighting, 12.3” supervision cluster and 12.3” touchscreen display for maximum ergonomics. The integrated AI assistant is aimed to become your performance co-pilot and ensure you can access the vehicle’s full features at the touch of a button. Comfort, convenience and technology, what’s not to like about the EV4?

So, what specifications and options are available with the new EV4 vehicles?

As at July 2025, you can configure your new all-electric Kia  with the following options below:

  • Air – from £34,695 this includes cloth interior, manual flush handles, smart cruise control, 12.3" digital cluster, 5.3" climate control screen, 12.3" touchscreen, LED front and rear lights, OTA updates, front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, forward collision avoidance, heated front seats / heated steering wheel and 17” alloys;
  •  GT Line – from £39,395 this adds 19” alloys, electric driver’s seat, lumbar support, automatic flush handles, 3-spoke steering wheel, digital key 2.0, keyless entry, wireless smartphone charging, privacy glass, GT styling and artificial leather upholstery; and
  • GT Line S – from £43,895 this adds Harmon Kardon sound system, HUD, 360 degree surround view monitor, rear-cross traffic alerts, sunroof with tilting and sliding, dynamic welcome light and premium relaxation seats with ventilated function, heated rear seats and blind-spot monitor.

In terms of colours choose between fusion white, phantom black, magma red, blue flame and wolf grey. In terms of additional options, consider adding the heat pump on the GT Line S for additional range.

How does the EV4 family-car perform?

There will be two battery options for UK customers including:

  •  Standard Range -  this FWD has a usable battery of 55kWh which offers 150kW (201hp), top speeds of 106mph and 0-62 times of 7.4 seconds. Real-world ranges suggest a combined 175 miles in colder weather with warmer temperatures to allow for 245 miles (on a full charge) – 210 miles combined . The 11kW AC allows for 0-100% charging times of 6 hours with the 100 kW DC enabling 10-80% in 30 minutes. The EV has Bidirectional capability - the V2L will offer 1 exterior port and one interior UK socket port. It has a 154 mpg equivalent, 435L cargo volume and towing capacity is to be confirmed; and
  •  Long Range – this FWD has a usable battery of 78kWh which offers 150kW (201hp), top speeds of 106mph and 0-62 times of 7.7 seconds. Real-world ranges suggest a combined 245 miles in colder weather with warmer temperatures to allow for 340 miles (on a full charge) – 295 miles combined . The 11kW AC allows for 0-100% charging times of 8 hours and 30 mins with the 135 kW DC enabling 10-80% in 33 minutes. The EV has Bidirectional capability - the V2L will offer 1 exterior port and one interior UK socket port. It has a 153 mpg equivalent, 435L cargo volume and towing capacity is to be confirmed. The Heat Pump will be available as an additional option.

Without a doubt this Kia will be a robust BEV for the UK’s leasing market. However, the green transition is not without its thoughts and considerations. While we do find many personal and business are overwhelmingly positive, this doesn’t mean you should buy or lease blindly.

Education is paramount to what we do here at e-car lease, which is why we encourage customers to review our “living with your ...” tools and EVC™ certificates, which set out everything you need to know. From real-world range, charging times (AC and DC), charging costs, charge solutions to performance, we ensure all key questions are answered. Even aspects like overnight charging tariffs, motor insurance and bidirectional charging are included for your perusal.
