The Mercedes C-Class will finally feature as a zero-emission option, supplementing the Electric CLA Saloon and Shooting Brake which launched in 2025. The new C-Class is the embodiment of practicality and robustness, with a classic yet refined look.

The new electric version promises to be a reinvention for tomorrow. With trend-setting design, digital operation and extraordinary comfort, the new C400 is the epitome of electric travel.  Some of the key highlights from the Mercedes  manufacturer website  include the illuminated front design, SKY CONTROL panoramic display, art of display interior and the refinement package (air suspension). Inside and outside the new C-Class saloon EV, it is awash with specification and precision engineering.

So what options are available in the C-Class Saloon?

As at June 2026 choose from:

  •  Sport – from £57,995 this includes 19” alloys, AVANTGARDE bodystyling, heat and noise insulating glass, LED high performance lights, privacy glass, ambient lighting, panoramic roof, comfort seats, heated front seats, multifunction steering wheel, 2-zone climate control,10.3” driver display, 14” central display, 14” digital trim panel, smartphone integration, parking package and assists;    
  • AMG Line - from £60,995 this includes 19” AMG alloys, AMG bodystyling, Iconic Grille, panoramic roof, ambient lighting package, AMG floor mats, illuminated door sills, memory seats, digital MBUX and superscreen;  
  •  Premium - from £65,995 this includes DIGITAL LIGHT, keyless-go, dual wireless charging, winter package, 39.1” hyperscreen, Burmester sound, digital key, parking package with 360 camera and augmented reality navigation; 
  •  Premium Plus - from £68,495 this includes 20” alloys, heated rear seats, massage seats, illuminated pattern in the roof, Burmester 4D sound, augmented HUD navigation and project functions; and  
  •  Premier Edition - from £70,995 this has 20” alloys, night package, iconic grille and surround, high-gloss black key, leather upholstery and AMG spoiler.

Key colours include polar white, obsidian black, high-tech silver, lavender silver, sodalite blue, sapphire blue, alpine grey and opalite white. Key options to add include the sustainability package, refinement package, trailer coupling with ESP stability and the 22kW AC charging upgrade.

How will the new Mercedes C Electric perform? Is it a good EV?

  •  C 400 - with a usable battery of 94kWh this AWD SUV offers 360kW (483hp), top speeds of 130 mph and 0-62 times of 4.0 seconds. Real-world ranges suggest a combined 285 miles in colder weather with warmer temperatures to allow for 395 miles (on a full charge) – 345 miles combined . The 11kW AC allows for 0-100% charging times of 10 hours and 15 minutes with the 330 kW DC enabling 10-80% in 22 minutes. The C Class has no confirmed Bidirectional charging. It has a 148 mpg equivalent, 470L cargo volume and the heat pump is available as a standard option. It will tow 750kg (Unbraked) and 1800kg (Braked).
