Leasing the new MGS6 in the UK 

The next evolution of electric cars is happening in 2026, with established and robust manufacturers now revising their existing products to modernise and excite the UK’s personal and business leasing customers. MG, the SAIC-owned Chinese conglomerate, are very much at this stage of the life cycle.

Having launched the IM5 and IM6 in 2025, the group are now bringing a mid-sized crossover SUV (D-Segment) to the market, awash with the features and engineering which BEV drivers now demand. The new MGS6 will not disappoint.

With smart serenity, smart power, considered comfort and quiet protection all detailed within the model, this new SUV is very much a luxury and refined vehicle. Spacious, intelligently constructed and littered with great features – suede style seats, heated seats, ventilated seats, 1,910 litres of space, 11-speaker audio, MSP architecture, 150kW fast charging and AWD - this is very much helping MG to become the go-to EV supplier to the UK.

The key MGS6 line-up includes:

•  SE Long Range - from £37,995 this includes 19” alloy wheels, cloth upholstery, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, dual screen interior, wireless Apple CarPlay, rear privacy glass, hill start and descent assist, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, navigation, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, LED lights, climate control, MG Pilot, keyless entry and V2L; 

•  Trophy Long Range - from £41,690 this adds 20” alloy wheels, leather and suede upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, 360 degree camera and the panoramic roof with the electric blind; and

•  Trophy Dual Motor - from £44,690 this adds the 119kW front motor for an AWD functionality. 

Key colours include Arctic white, Piccadilly blue, black pearl, Camden grey, Cosmic silver, Stratford gold and Dynamic red.

•  Long Range 77kWh  - the RWD SUV will have a 74.3 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 7.3 seconds, 124 mph top speeds and 180kW (or 241hp). Expect a combined winter range of 210 miles with warmer weather allowing for 285 miles – a 250 mile combined. On charging, the 11kW AC max will allow 8 hour 0 – 100% charging times with the 144 kW DC maximum allowing 36 minute 10 – 80% times. A cargo volume of 674L (1910L with the seats down) is available with this car. It has a vehicle fuel equivalent of 136mpg. You can tow 750kg (Unbraked) and 1500kg (Braked). The SUV has Bidirectional Charging - V2L capability via the 3.3W AC Type 2 exterior. The Heat Pump is available as a standard option; and

•  Long Range Dual Motor 77kWh  - the AWD SUV will have a 74.3 kWh usable battery which will offer 0 – 62 times of 5.1 seconds, 124 mph top speeds and 266kW (or 357hp). Expect a combined winter range of 205 miles with warmer weather allowing for 275 miles – a 240 mile combined. On charging, the 11kW AC max will allow 8 hour 0 – 100% charging times with the 144 kW DC maximum allowing 36 minute 10 – 80% times. A cargo volume of 674L (1910L with the seats down) is available with this car. It has a vehicle fuel equivalent of 131mpg. You can tow 750kg (Unbraked) and 1500kg (Braked). The SUV has Bidirectional Charging - V2L capability via the 3.3W AC Type 2 exterior. The Heat Pump is available as a standard option. 

While the new MG SUV promises to be well-built, responsive and practical, this doesn’t negate the need to properly review and analyse the vehicle before you lease / buy.
