Leasing the new Nissan Micra in the UK

The 6th generation Micra from the Nissan Motor company will be arriving in a battery format. The Japanese group , which sells both Nissan and Infiniti branded vehicles, has been notoriously quiet in the world of BEVs. This has been somewhat surprising, based on the fact that the Leaf was a pioneer for vehicle electrification in the UK

However, amidst rumours of a merger with Honda and potential financial / strategy difficulties in the medium / long term, 2025 has seen the group launch their new city-car in all electric format.

The Micra first arrived on UK shores in the early 1980’s and this quickly became a favourite for those customers needing a small and affordable vehicle. The subsequent revision in the early 1990’s proved to be equally popular and the Micra become a stalwart of the working-class drivers of Britain.

While more recent revisions have proved less successful, the chance to push their incredible reputation has been seemingly taken with their new EV. Based on the same platform of their sister product, the Renault 5, the new Micra enters the UK roads in October 2025.

The “all-electric fun” hatchback is defined as a compact electric car designed for urban seamless driving. Aesthetically similar to the popular Renault 5 EV, the new Micra offers a cost-effective yet premium looking vehicle to the Nissan line-up. A self-described “Electric Encounter”, the new option comes with technology, convenience and practicality in its droves.

The new Micra will launch in 3 specifications including:

  •  Engage - from £22,995 this includes wireless Apple CarPlay, heat pump, 4-way adjustable driver seat, NissanConnect (navigation), emergency lane assist, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, rear parking aid, 7” TFT screen, 10” centre screen, 4 Arkamys sound speaker system, 18” Active alloys and automatic AC;
  •  Advance - from £26,995  this adds  18” Iconic alloys, dual 10.1” screens, adaptive cruise control, e-Pedal with paddle shifts, wireless phone charger, 6-way adjustable driver seat, multisense lighting, BLIS, rear cross traffic alert, rear view camera, 6 Arkamys sound speaker system and, for an additional cost, you can add the Cold Pack (for heated front seats, steering wheel and 2-way lumbar support); and
  •  Evolve - from £29,865  this adds 18” Sport alloys, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, Audacious blue synthetic leather upholstery, ProPILOT assist, frameless auto dimming mirror, powered 6-way adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, premium sound with 9 speaker system and, for an additional cost, hand free parking.

Choose between pure white, elegant silver, mystery black, noble marine, rebel red and authentic blue on the colours. You can utilise the two-tone roof with all the colours too.
