Leasing a Peugeot e-208 in the UK

Having affordable small electric cars is paramount to the success of the EV uptake in the UK. As at 2026, there is much greater choice in this segment and the competence of the batteries is such that more leasing customers are confident to make the transition.

Economies of scale for manufacturers, charge point installers and improved education is helping cars like the all-electric Peugeot 208 to be so popular.

Having launched in 2022, the e-208 is enjoying the luxury of being part of the industry giant Stellantis which is now a force to be reckoned with in the world of BEVs.
In 2021 the sister-company Vauxhall produced the electric Corsa, which set the expectations for the more exciting Peugeot. With 2026 now introducing the Cupra Raval, Smart 1# and Hyundai Ioniq 3, there is no shortage of competition in this segment.

But is there enough within the e-208 range?

Just look below to see some of the great specifications available:

  •  Allure  – at £23,495 this includes upper front grille in body colour, i-Cockpit with 10” digital cluster, hands-free start, driver vigilance camera, 16” alloys, over tinted windows, 10” HD touch screen, front/rear parking aid, powered folding mirrors;
  •  GT – from £25,645 customers benefit from full LED headlights, i-Cockpit 3D screen, HD rear view camera and GT elements like the 17” alloys;
  •  GT Premium – from £27,445 customers benefit from Alcantara Pack, Navigation Pack, Pack Drive Assist Plus and the heat pump; and
  •  GTi  – from £34,995 this adds the greater 281ps, 25mm lowering, recalibrated suspension, limited-slip differential, high performance braking (with 355mm Alcon front discs), Michelin Pilor Sport tyres and the GTi interior design.

The key colours include Okenite White, Agueda Yellow, Cumulus Grey, Selenium Grey, Nera Black, Elixir Red and Miramar Blue. There’s also a whole host of great extras to consider including the panoramic glass sunroof and tow bar.

The Peugeot e-208 continues to be an affordable and exciting small EV, especially in the personal and retail market. While consumers do not enjoy the same tax benefits as a UK company, there are still some solid reasons to move into a BEV based on fuel savings and lower maintenance costs.

With leasing being a long-term finance option, usually 2 – 4 years, our customers need to ensure this meets their requirements. To support our UK customers, e-car use various tools and technology which help make this a seamless experience.

Our EVC™ (Electric Vehicle Certificate) is a unique document which we provide at the point of sale, ensuring the vehicle is wholly suitable for all customers. This sets out key aspects like the real-world range, charging speeds, charging times, cost per mile and company car tax. Plus we introduce you to some great partners like Zapmap and the EVA.

Do review our Trustpilot to see what our electric customers, existing and new, think about the e-car team. For more help on the electric transition, just get in touch with our team on 01942 910 001 or by emailing us at [email protected]

Is a Peugeot e-208 electric lease right for me or the business?
Moving to an all-electric 208 does need more thought in comparison to the petrol and diesel alternatives. That’s why our “Living with your …” tool is so key to this as it sets out the key facets – charging times, seasonal ranges, cost per mile and company car tax calculators. Our website gives you all the information you need to know if you, or the fleet manager, should be leasing this as your next new EV. For high-mileage leasing customers, make sure the range (and charging sessions) are going to be suitable for you.

Where do I find the best Peugeot e-208 lease deals in the UK?
While the e-car team offer some of the best value deals, many of our customers will use price comparison websites like Leasing.com and LeaseLoco. We always suggest a visit to your local Peugeot retailer to look at and test-drive the 208 before committing to lease or buy. While you’re there, get a comparable PCP, HP or Lease Purchase offer.
