Leasing the new Toyota Urban Cruiser in the UK

A new compact all-electric SUV is here and, quite surprisingly, this has come from a brand so notoriously quiet for battery technology – Toyota. To some degree, the Toyota team have been in a conundrum with BEVs, with their focus more so placed on hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.

With a credible following from the UK’s personal and business leasing market, perhaps they could be forgiven for their slow conversion to this aspect, with only their BZ4X SUV being available for most PCH and BCH customers. However, in recognition of the increasing popularity of EVs, a small SUV – “where statement SUV design meets all-electric power”- has been released for 2026 and beyond.

The new Urban Cruiser is aiming to be a strong and defined SUV with dependable performance, robust acceleration and a practical range capacity. Driving pleasure is very much at the heart of this new product, with power and agility being proffered as the main benefits of this small city-SUV.

However, the Toyota team are not ignoring the importance of innovation and safety with the enhanced multimedia integration, Apple CarPlay, JBL audio and a host of driver assistance systems.

 What specification options can you get with the new Toyota Urban Cruiser?

As per below:

  •  Icon –  from £29,995 this includes 18” alloys, 10.25” digital combimeter, privacy glass, power adjustable and retractable mirrors, push-button start, LED projector, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, turn assist, air conditioning, blind sport monitor, illuminated entry system, smart entry system and floor mats;
  •  Design - from £34,460 this adds heated front seats, heated steering wheel and front wiper de-icer; and
  •  Excel - from £36,425 this adds 360 degree panoramic, 19” alloys, fixed glass moon roof, adaptive high beam assist, JBL audio and wireless phone charger.

Key colours on the Urban Cruiser include Pine Green, Liquid Silver, Graphite Grey, Nimbus Blue, Lunar White and Dusk Black. In term of additional options, consider the detachable towing hitch and 13 pin wiring kit (if you need to tow). Build your own bespoke option for the e-car lease team via the Toyota Website.

The Toyota compact SUV may look, and sound, like the perfect addition to your home or business fleet. However, we still encourage all our customers, 1st time or otherwise, to research the proposition before committing to a long-term lease deal (2 – 4 years).

Our website has a litany of free resources and educational tools which we make available via our “living with your…” and EVC™ certificate with each EV. These help you to understand the SUV and how it operates for you / the fleet.

Fundamental criteria like real-world range, charging times, charging costs, running costs, power/performance, towing capacity, bidirectional charging, charge point locations and EV tariffs are discussed.
