Leasing the new Alpine A390 in the UK

The French manufacturer of sports and racing cars is yet again bringing more fun to the UK’s electric car market in 2026. The new A390 is an “elegant sport fastback” which is the second of seven releases from the group, as it looks to make real headway in the BEV market.

Since linking with the Renault group, the engineering team have put together some of the most exciting and invigorating automobiles. However, in 2024 the move to all-electric was not unsurprising, with Renault now looking to become one of the leading car manufacturers in Europe.

The A390 is described as a car like no other; the Active Torque Vectoring delivers a thrilling ride along with the AWD traction and 3-motor set up for an embodied experience. The Alpine team have used the modular AmpR Medium platform from Nissan which has already been adopted by the Scenic E-Tech and the Ariya.

This means Bidirectional charging will feature on the car. Without a doubt, the underlying theme for the A390 is a car based on racing DNA, performance and exhilaration. With novel features like the F1 inspired front wing, racing steering wheel and an overtake button. The latter is a patented red button on the steering wheel which has a 10 seconds boost with a 30 second cooldown period. The button also optimises the drag-strip function.

Landing into the UK from March 2026, you can choose from one of the Alpine A390 specifications below:

•  GT - from around £61,000 360 degree camera, 20” wheels, adaptive cruise control, dual 12” displays, Alcantara seats, heated seats, electrically adjustable seats, nappa leather seats, high-fidelity audio system and electrically adjustable seats; and

•  GTS - from around £70,000  21” alloys, pilot packs (autonomous driving and hands-free parking), two-tone Nappa, alcantara interior headliner, Alpine telemetrics and the Devialet Xtrme audio.

How does the A390 perform - is it a good EV? 

•  GT - an AWD car, this has an 89kWh usable lithium battery which will deliver 0 – 62 times of 4.8 seconds, 124 mph top speeds and 295 kW (or 396hp). Expect a combined winter range of 245 miles with warmer weather allowing for 330 miles - a combined 290 miles. On charging, the 11kW AC max will allow 9 hours and 45 minute 0 – 100% charging times with the 150 kW DC maximum allowing 33 minute 10 – 80% times. A cargo volume of 532L is available with this car. It has a vehicle fuel equivalent of 132 mpg. This EV will have Bidirectional charging - an exterior adapter (V2L). Also V2H and V2G is being considered. The car will arrive with a heat pump as standard and the car will be able to tow 750kg (Unbraked) and 1350kg (Braked); and
•  GTS - an AWD car, this has an 89kWh usable lithium battery which will deliver 0 – 62 times of 3.9 seconds, 137 mph top speeds and 345 kW (or 463hp). Expect a combined winter range of 245 miles with warmer weather allowing for 330 miles - a combined 290 miles. On charging, the 11kW AC max will allow 9 hours and 45 minute 0 – 100% charging times with the 190 kW DC maximum allowing 28 minute 10 – 80% times. A cargo volume of 532L is available with this car. It has a vehicle fuel equivalent of 132 mpg. This EV will have Bidirectional charging - an exterior adapter (V2L). Also V2H and V2G is being considered. The car will arrive with a heat pump as standard and the car will be able to tow 750kg (Unbraked) and 1350kg (Braked).
