Price

The Price shown under “At a glance” is based on the P11D value for the vehicle. This is only relevant to company car and salary sacrifice customers who must pay tax for using the vehicle for private use (including any commuting). The P11D value of the vehicle is based on the list price of the vehicle, as published by the manufacturer, including VAT and any delivery charges. This value must also include any optional accessories with the vehicle when it was first made available to the driver. The P11D value does not include the vehicle’s first registration fee (FRF) or the Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), which is commonly known as road tax or road fund licence. The P11D is dynamic on the e-car lease website which means that the value shown will alter based on the vehicle and/or additional options you select. For clarity, the P11D value is different to an On The Road (OTR) or Recommended Retail Price (RRP).

Full charge cost

The amount shown has been calculated based on the UK's current price cap limit on a default tariff. This is shown as pence per kWh on your electricity bill which you receive from your supplier. As some tariffs will be cheaper, or there may be tariff reductions for electric vehicle charging, the electricity price on the e-car lease website is fully customisable for your circumstances. The price cap which limits the rates a supplier can charge for their default tariffs is £0.28 per kWh and is valid only until 30 September 2022. For more information please visit Ofgem. Please also note that the full charge cost is based on the “Battery Useable” as opposed to the “Battery Capacity” on the vehicle. This is clearly highlighted on “Battery & plug type” within the “Living with your …” tool.

Cost per mile

The amount shown (in pence) is based on the customisable full charge cost and the “Range” shown within the e-car lease “At a glance” section. As highlighted on the “Real world range” section on the “Living with your …” tool - driving conditions, external temperatures and driver behaviour will influence an electric vehicle’s range. The figure shown is to be used as an overall guide only and e-car lease accept no responsibility for this figure. We always recommend that you calculate cost per mile in conjunction with your specific real world range.

10 - 80% charge

This is the time it will take for the electric vehicle to rapid charge from 10 - 80% at the vehicle’s maximum rate. Rapid charging adds as much range as possible in the shortest possible time. Note: charging power will decrease significantly after 80% state-of-charge (SoC) has been reached. A typical rapid charge therefore rarely exceeds 80%. Company Car Tax

The amount shown for company car tax under “At a glance” is an estimate of your monthly tax liability for utilising a company car or procuring a vehicle as part of a salary sacrifice scheme. This is not relevant to personal contract hire customers. The monthly figure is calculated using the e-car lease customisable company car tax calculator. While this defaults to England and a 40% income tax band please alter this according to your individual needs and requirements to receive an accurate figure. For clarity, the Price is based on the P11D value of the vehicle and the Benefit in Kind (BiK) is based on 2% which HMRC have confirmed until at least tax year 2024/25  The tax values shown in the e-car lease company car tax tool are based on tax legislation and rates as well as published vehicle information applicable at the time of quotation and may be subject to change.
